Defines tests and requirements for manually-activated trigger devices that form part of a social alarm system. Only applicable to manually-activated trigger devices that transmit the alarm triggering signal to a local controller or unit by cable or wire-free radio transmission, for example; push button fixed/ pull switch fixed/ push button portable/ pull activated portable. Gives a guide on automatically-activated trigger devices, and for the tests and requirements applicable to these, refer to appropriate CEN/CENELEC standards for gas alarm, fire alarm and intruder alarm system components. Not specific to EMC emission or electrical safety requirements.
