Diese Europäische Norm gilt für in Gebäude installierte kombinierte Passiv-Infrarot- und Mikrowellenmelder und berücksichtigt die Sicherheitsgrade 1 bis 4 (siehe EN 50131-1), exklusiv oder nicht exklusiv verdrahtete oder drahtlose Melder und deckt die Umweltklassen I bis IV ab (siehe EN 50130-5). Diese Europäische Norm enthält keine Anforderungen an Melder, die für die Verwendung im Freien vorgesehen sind.
