Constant test atmospheres are atmospheres with specified atmospheric values for the temperature and humidity of the air differing from standard atmospheres, but with restricted ranges for the atmospheric pressure and the air velocity, and also without significant additional constituents and radiation effects. They permit selected stressing in the range of temperate and hot-humid or hot-dry atmospheres, for testing the behaviour of articles sensitive to temperature and humidity.
