Gives the general requirements for proximity switches used in nominal 28V d.c. or 115/200V, 400 Hz a.c. systems in aircraft. Deals with switches used in unprotected positions on aircraft and switches for less arduous environmental conditions. Illustrates typical test circuit for short circuit test and sequence of groups of tests for quality assurance.
