Describes requirements for hot dip galvanized coatings on metal fasteners and accessories applied by immersion in molten zinc. The coating consists of zinc and/or zinc/iron alloy layers which are metallurgically bonded to the base material, resulting in a dust free surface which when required can be lubricated to give controlled torque/clamping force properties.
