1. Closed conduit system

Specifies performance requirements of equipment used for measuring of free surface flow in closed conduits. Identifies the conditions within which such equipment is required to operate. Specifies the level of uncertainty and reliability of measurement which the equipment must meet. Applies to conduits having an internal cross sectional area greater than 0,018 square metres. Does not apply to the measurement of flows in closed conduits which usually operate under pressure as the result of pumping. Coverage includes definitions, functional requirements and choice of measurement reach.
