This British Standard specifies requirements for two grades and two types of baths made from vitreous enamelled sheet steel which ensure that the product, when installed in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions, gives satisfactory performance.

No specific requirements are given for the method of supporting baths as methods vary, but the rigidity is ensured by the installation meeting the general performance requirements specified in this standard.

The information to be supplied by the purchaser is given in appendix A.

Methods of test to check compliance with the requirements specified are given in appendix B.
