1.1This specification covers the requirements for carburizing bearing-quality steel to be used in the manufacture of anti-friction bearings.

1.2Supplementary requirements of an optional nature are provided and when desired shall be so stated in the order.

1.3The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.
