Defines flowchart symbols to represent the sequence of operations, the flow of data, and flow of paperwork on diagrams for information processing; recommends presentation techniques for flowcharts; defines their use for flowchart text, symbol identification, symbol cross reference, connector referencing, symbol striping, multiple exits, branching table, and repetitive representation of the same media. Excludes pictorial-type flowcharts utilizing illustrations to depict a system.
