The Manual is designed to guide, assist, and instruct in the inspection of concrete construction. The Manual contains information on inspection fundamentals; proportioning & control of mixes; testing of materials; inspection before concreting, during concreting, and after concreting; sampling; tests of fresh and hardened concrete; strength tests; records and reports; and special method of concreting. The seventh edition reflects the latest advances in the field of concrete construction, such as shrinkage-compensating cement, sophisticated admixtures, fibrous concrete, epoxy resins, high capacity and automated concrete production equipment, very high strength concrete and systems building. While the fundamentals of concrete inspection have not changed, the field of inspection has been drastically expanded.
