About Process Industry Practices

Process Industry Practices (PIP) is an association of companies in the process industry, dedicated to harmonising internal company Standards relating to design, procurement, construction and maintenance. PIP’s members largely consist of owners of process industry enterprises and contractors in the engineering construction field. Cost minimisation in business is key focus of member companies.

PIP publishes Standards or “Practices” that relate to a range of industries and disciplines, including electrical, machinery, engineering, food & beverage, construction, insulation and more. In producing its Standards, PIP draws on evidence from research into industry best practice.
