Important note : All end users must be registered with an Account prior to user licenses being assigned.Objective is to harmonize the safety regulations on toys throughout the Community in order to protect child health and facilitate trade. Toys are one of the few product categories for which essential requirements have been adopted. For the purpose of the Directive a toy is defined as any product or material designed or clearly intended for use in play by children of less than 14 years of age. Several products are, however, not regarded as toys for the purpose of the Directive, including Christmas decorations, fireworks, playground equipment, and sports equipment. Toys may be placed on the market only if they do not jeopardize the health and/or safety of users or third parties. The essential safety requirements are defined in an annex.
