UNE (Asociación Española de Normalización)

UNE (Asociación Española de Normalización) is the official Spanish national Standards body. Since 2017, UNE has been solely responsible for developing, publishing, and maintaining Spanish standards (UNE Standards), as well as coordinating Spain’s participation in international and European standardization (ISO, IEC, CEN, CENELEC, etc.).

This role was previously held by AENOR, which now operates separately as a private company focused on certification, auditing, training, and conformity assessment. UNE remains the only official NSB in Spain.
